Homebuilder participation in the Texas Cares ProgramSM requires paying a processing fee and making a contribution to the source nonprofit to replenish the gift fund pool and further their charitable endeavors. Below are ways that this investment makes good business sense
- Reducing buyer upgrades and financing incentives offset the Texas Cares Program costs.
- Accelerating sales reduces carrying costs. Reduced carrying costs offsets the Texas Cares Program costs.
- Increasing the number of homes per bid release reduces subcontractor per unit cost. These cost savings offset the Texas Cares Program costs.
- Using the Texas Cares Program, builders generally sell their homes at full-appraised value versus a negotiated or competitor driven lower value. Selling more homes at appraised value offsets the Texas Cares Program costs
